Description

Integrate Motorola, Hytera and Kenwood two-way radios to Commend Intercom

SMC Gateway’s integration with Commend intercoms enables you to place calls for assistance to two-way radio. Radios can be included in the usual routing, with additional phones in the chain if the radio cannot accept the call. This is achieved by calling the radio and waiting for an answer. The radio is no longer the dead end it once was.

The solution is deployed with a UK utility company, enabling onsite and offsite staff to deal with intercom calls, on both phones, and two-way radios.

A typical Use Case scenario would be as follows:

On initiation of the intercom system an office phone on site is rung, but the office is only staffed part time, after 10 seconds the call is routed to the radio. The radio user can accept the call and send a command back to open the gate. If the radio user is unable to accept the call, the system can continue to ring the next phone, perhaps at head-office or a control room, leaving no one stranded, unable to gain entry or without assistance.
