Communication at Water Locks
Waterways
More and more water locks are managed remotely and you have to register at the lock for passage. In the waiting area, Intercom stations ensure crystal-clear communication with the lock operators in the central control centre, which manages several waterways. Through radio integration, it is also possible to speak directly into the ship's radio and thus minimise waiting time.
Due to the numerous possibilities for integration and control, the locks can be controlled remotely via the Intercom system.
Applications for Waterways
Communicating and Controlling
Outdoor Intercom Stations
The Intercom stations in the waiting areas enable handsfree communication even in noisy environments and are resistant against rough ambient conditions like water, dirt and dust.
Communicating
Mobile Radio Integration
The local radio integration at the locks enables direct communication with the vessels from the central control room, which manages several waterways at the same time.
Securing
Loudspeakers
Loudspeakers at the locks enable wide-area public address for information and warning.
Managing
Central Control Room
The communication and control of several waterways and locks are bundled into one central control room. The local locks can be visualised in our control management software and all calls incl. video and all locks controlled in an intuitive way
Communicating
Industrial Stations
Industrial stations with direct dialling buttons are used for communication between operationally relevant points within the lock (jetty, technical rooms, weir piers, outside area) and to the control room.
