Designed for People
In architecture it's as in human relationships: First impressions count - possibly with long-term effects.
At the entrance, for example – the building’s architectural ‘calling card’. Is it attractive? Does it have appeal? It is here, where building meets people, that Schneider Intercom creates points of contact that attract both the acoustic and visual senses.
Schneider Intercom lets buildings speak for themselves
Here’s an essential question that arises at the intersection of architecture and building communication: How, if at all, does the building ‘speak’ to me? With lifeless rows of doorbell buttons or a lively welcome with a personal touch? With a warm greeting or icy silence? Aesthetics or dull banality?
Commend’s Intercom Touch Stations of the Concerto-Series not only make the decision easy, they also turn any door entrance into an audibly and visibly attractive ‘calling’ card for visitors.
Concerto
Your Concerto Wish is our command
When it comes to the form and function of your Commend Concerto station, the choice is yours: custom GUI to suit your needs and wants, a custom-tailored array of functions, and options to address users personally – all open to your individual design choices, and put (literally) at your fingertips via convenient touch control. And soon with the added benefit of an interactive voice assistant.
Commend’s Outdoor Intercom Stations are designed to withstand the roughest of weather conditions. Whether extreme cold or heat, driving rain or frost on the display – you can rely on a Concerto’s performance, whatever the weather.
Where a sound performance is concerned, Concerto communication terminals are not limited to the exterior building architecture at the entrance. They also shine in indoor applications, providing instant connections between people and crucial security support in emergencies. Always in harmonious interplay with the ambient architecture. In everyday applications as well as in special operations, from doors to lifts and everywhere in between.
Less is more: Commend product design by Wolfgang Wurm
For twenty years now Commend devices have been bearing the design signature of the brilliant Austrian product architect Wolfgang Wurm (Industrial Design Attersee). He enjoys the highly demanding challenge of giving the durable, highly professional communication high-tech a timelessly functional design without fashionable frills. The goal is always to minimise, in every respect, whether in terms of size, production costs or ecological footprint.
The implied affinities with building architecture are no coincidence either. Here, too, the goal is to bring together functionality and modern, modular technology – to form a well-balanced whole at the intersection between buildings and people. Wolfgang Wurm is also well-known throughout Austria as a recognised specialist for disassembling old farmhouses and rebuilding them at other locations. It’s his profound expert knowledge that helps the contractors to achieve that perfect, beautiful blend of traditional architecture with modern interior design. By now the sites of his construction projects have also become sought-after locations for various film productions.
